5th Grade Graduation: Prepare for our 5th Graders to venture on to Middle School.
Class ACT School Play: The PTA works with the Anacortes Community Theatre’s School for the Performing Arts to create an annual school play starring Mt Erie students.
Display / Bulletin Board: Committee that helps with the visual presence of the PTA by creating appealing bulletin boards and display cases.
Family Fun Events: Throughout the year, the PTA hosts several just-for-fun events for Mt Erie students and their families, including Mustang Movie Mornings, family fun nights, etc.
Harvest Fest: Our annual Fall festival that often features costume contests, cake walks, trunk or treat, a school dance and a haunted classroom! Lot's of hands needed to make this a treat for the kids
Hospitality / Staff Appreciation: The PTA provides dinner for the teachers during conference week, and plans other staff appreciation events throughout the year.
Media / Website: Committee that designs and maintains the PTA website as well as the Mt Erie PTA Facebook page.
Membership: The PTA only thrives with lots of committed members. This committee works to increase the involvement of Mt Erie families in their PTA
RIF (Reading is Fundamental): Twice a year, every K-3 grader gets to pick out their very own book to keep, thanks to the generous donors to Reading Is Fundamental.
Science On Wheels: An exciting day of assemblies, classroom activities and interactive exhibits presented by the Pacific Science Center.
Safe Routes to School: Committee promotes and runs the Walk and Wheel events
Yearbook: Committee that creates the Mt Erie yearbook each spring
Young Authors: Help aspiring authors hone their writing skills and publish a book of their own!
Fundraising
The PTA raises funds to provide classroom and school-wide enhancements and to pay for all of the things listed above. Below are some of the ways our PTA has raised funds throughout the years, and this year we need YOU!
